Who are we?
We are a mentoring program within Kaua’i Team Challenge Inc. Kaua’i Team Challenge Inc. is an organization that specializes in outdoor experiential education allowing individuals to collaborate, communicate, problem-solve, trust and effectively contribute to group processes through low and high ropes team building and cultural experiences.
What do we do?
Through training, monthly events and mentoring relationships, we provide strategies for mentors to help build self-esteem, positive self-image and trust in our youth through healthy role modeling. Through this process we hope to decrease anxiety and destructive cycles in youth and strengthen family relationships so they can lead successful, enriched and meaningful lives.
When are the trainings and monthly events happening?
To become a mentor, successful training must be completed. Group training is offered twice a year. Monthly events are scheduled for every third Saturday of the month.
How can you get involved?
Whether you are interested in becoming a mentor or a parent who would like your youth to be mentored, simply contact us so we can begin the process. To become a mentor it may take up to 2 months to find a successful match with a youth and lead you through training and other necessary paperwork.
